Real estate business Tishman Speyer first approached Arup in 2014 to explore new ways of engaging with its key internal and external audiences. Our sustainability experts worked in collaboration with the firm to deliver effective and compelling reporting that clearly communicates its sustainability commitments and performance.
Since then, our relationship with Tishman Speyer has deepened and our approach has evolved to reflect learnings from the reports, as well as developments in corporate reporting processes. The need to respond to the different priorities of a diverse range of stakeholders and more proactively engage with them has been a key driver for the reports to be even more comprehensive, clear and engaging.
Working across a high profile, global property portfolio
Tishman Speyer owns and manages some of the world’s most iconic and prestigious buildings, including New York’s Rockefeller Centre, Sao Paulo’s Torre Norte and Frankfurt’s TaunusTurm. Their approach to asset management is underpinned by sustainability practices, and our role was to bring their sustainability story to the forefront.
The reports we prepare support Tishman Speyer when communicating with its tenants, investors, internal teams and potential new customers, and proactively respond to each stakeholder group’s priorities in relation to the ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) impacts of their activities.
Our deep technical expertise in climate related risk and mitigation, carbon management, nature, energy, health and wellbeing, and international standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), enable us to create clear and comprehensive reports that communicate Tishman Speyer’s sustainability priorities and outcomes as well as performance progress against its material topics.
