Set in the desert in the heart of Australia, an isolated location of harsh environmental extremes, the Yulura project is a new tourist resort.
Yulara is the gateway to the Uluru National Park in the heart of Central Australia, home to Ayers Rock, Australia's second most popular tourist attraction. In order to improve facilities, it was decided to relocate the accomodation and airstrip outside the Park boundary and restore the environmentally damaged areas. We became consulting civil and structural engineers to the project, with our geotechnics team appointed to provide soil s investigation and material evaluation services.
Other projects we cover in this issue include New Brisbane International Airport, 13 terminal acces s roads and car parks, the Sydney Cove 9 Bicentenary Project marine hydraulic studies, and the R&l Bank tower.
