Arup will support the EXPO 2035 Berlin initiative as one of ten shareholders in the investment company. In recent months, the firm has already made a signficant contribution to Berlin’s bid.

Arup's contribution includes a study commissioned by EXPO 2035 Berlin GmbH that demonstrates how the Expo could act as a catalyst for long-term urban development, mobility, infrastructure, and social participation.

The investment reflects a shared ambition to use EXPO 2035 as a driver for Berlin’s sustainable, inclusive and forward-looking development. Arup will help shape a World Expo that delivers lasting benefits for Berlin and the wider region by contributing expertise in the areas of urban development, mobility, infrastructure and strategic planning for major events.

Together with the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Berlin), Arup shares thr vision of investing in Berlin’s transformation and creating the conditions for a successful World Expo that leaves a meaningful legacy.
