James is an experienced project director and team leader with a background in the ports, coastal, offshore energy and defence sectors.
He has wide ranging experience leading the design of maritime infrastructure; both of new structures and remedial/upgrade works to existing assets. He has worked on projects including ports and harbours, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, reclamation and floating structures. His specific interests include design and build, asset management, infrastructure to support the energy transition and long-term partnering/collaboration to achieve positive outcomes for all.
James is committed to the use of emerging technology as part of the design and operation phases of projects. He has advised governments and major infrastructure owners on climate change, asset management and strategies to improve the resilience and efficiency of port and coastal structures.
